Final Day at Kingsland
08/02/10
The long wait for the move to our new school is almost over. On Tuesday 9th February the last day of classes at the 109 year old building will take place. The school closes at 3.15pm and the big flit begins on Wednesday, as pupils take an extended holiday and the staff will be unpacking in the new Kingsland Primary School at Neidpath Grazings. Classrooms wil be prepared to welcome the children on Monday 22nd February 2010 in an historic day which begins at the old school at 9am. Pupils will enter the school for the last time. At 9.15, after registration, staff and pupils will be led by a section from Peebles Silver Band in a procession to the new building for the first official day. Parents and friends are welcome to follow the procession up to school to witness the occasion but are respectfully asked to disperse once the children have gone into their classes.
