18th March 2008 Dear Parents/Carers End Of Term Service This will be at the Leckie Church on Friday 28th March at 10.00am. We still need parents, friends, grandparents to walk with the children so if you can help please let the office know.
Swimming GalaYesterday we held a very successful and enjoyable school swimming gala. The children were terrific in the level of participation, behaviour and encouragement of each other. A big thank you from us all to Mrs Fletcher for her organisation of this event. Congratulations to Alexander on winning the cup. The final totals were David 267, James 302 and Alexander 311. Thank you to all parents for their help.
Big Yellow FridayThank you to all who took part, we raised £178.23. How will my money help? Your contribution, however big or small, will make a real difference to children affected by liver disease and their families:£5 will enable a family support officer to spend 1 hour with a family£10 will fund 30 minutes of telephone and electronic family support£75 will allow CLDF to support a bereaved family for a year.
Visit of HMIe – 25th March 2008We are expecting a visit from two inspectors for the day. We hope this will be our last visit (for a while!) and a report of findings will be issued in June. If there are any points that you wish to raise with the inspectors or through myself, please make an appointment at the office.
Easter HolidaysJust a reminder that school will be closed on Monday 24th March for Easter Monday and from Monday 31st March until Friday 11th April inclusive.
PhotographsClass photographs will be taken on Wednesday 16th April i.e. the 3rd day back after the holidays. Please make sure children are in school uniform. All school teams will be photographed too. Homework ClubsHomework Clubs are coming to an end, thanks to all who have supported these. School ChoirThe finals are about to take place for the Chorister of the Year. Well done to all children who have taken part. We wish the choir well for their exciting visit to the Parliament next week.
School MealsWhen we return from the Easter break we will be on Week 4 of the current menu. We are still waiting for the new Spring/Summer menu
Extra PE for InfantsMrs Jennifer Donald (Specialist PE Teacher) is coming to talk to interested parents about the benefits and importance of movement in the early years. This is primarily for Nursery and P1 parents but any other interested parents are welcome. Please come along on Wednesday 16th April at 2.00pm to the dining hall.
