Burns Lunch 2010 (31/01/10)
The pupils at Kingsland Primary School celebrated Burns' day on Monday. P6 pupil Alexa Smith piped in David Collins and the haggis for the diners and their top table guests - their teachers.
The haggis was then addressed by a team of P7 poets and the company tucked into a traditional meal of haggis, neeps and tatties followed by freshly baked shortbread all served superbly by the P7 waiting team. A big thanks also to the kitchen staff - the meal was delicious.
The celebrations will continue at a special assembly in the school hall on Wednesday when the winners of the Burns' Poetry competition will demonstrate their recitation skills to the rest of the school.
