Burns Lunch 2010

The pupils at Kingsland Primary School celebrated Burns' day on Monday. P6 pupil Alexa Smith piped in David Collins and the haggis for the diners and their top table guests - their teachers. The haggis was then addressed by a team of P7 poets and the company tucked into a traditional meal of haggis, neeps and tatties followed by freshly baked shortbread all served superbly by the P7 waiting team. A big thanks also to the kitchen staff - the meal was delicious. The celebrations will continue at a special assembly in the school hall on Wednesday when the winners of the Burns' Poetry competition will demonstrate their recitation skills to the rest of the school.
